It has now been more than a week since Step 2 of the roadmap came into play, and so here are a few things to update you on:
Covid-19 infection rates
Infection rates remain broadly in line with last week, and the rate is now the same for both South Oxfordshire and the Vale at 18.4 per 100,000. Oxfordshire rates overall also remain at 22.6 per 100,000, a very slight increase from 22 last week.

Covid-19 infection rates
Infection rates across the county have reduced to a rate of 22 per 100,000 of the population and rates have dropped in each district. Since our update last week, the infection rate has nearly halved in South from 43.6 to 23.9 and Vale from 32.4 to 16.9.

Covid-19 rates across Oxfordshire

Budget 2021 - Restart grants for businesses
In the Budget this week, the Chancellor announced that pubs, restaurants, shops and other businesses hit hardest by the pandemic will be able to access a £5 billion grant scheme to help them reopen as lockdown is eased.
