An update on Thames Water’s Water Resources Management Plan 2019

An update on Thames Water’s Water Resources Management Plan 2019

Over the past 4 years we have been working on our long-term plan to ensure we can continue to meet our customers' needs for water until the end of the century, support housing and economic growth, whilst protecting and improving the environment. It is known as the Water Resources Management Plan 2019 (WRMP19).

In spring 2018 we held a public consultation on our draft plan and asked for feedback. We received over 540 responses to the consultation. We took account of the feedback, and new information, and made a number of changes to our draft plan.

In autumn 2018 we published our revised draft plan and provided an opportunity for comment on the changes that we had made to our plan. We received over 750 responses to the further consultation, as well as other feedback from our customers. We have considered all the responses and have updated parts of our revised draft plan.

Today we published our Statement of Response No 2 which presents our response to the further consultation and updates to parts of our revised draft plan. If you would like to read these documents please go to our website thameswater.co.uk/wrmp.

If you have any questions on our WRMP19, please don't hesitate to get in touch consultations@thameswater.co.uk.

Kind regards,

Water Resources Team
